Townhouse Luxury Apartments Deliver Modern Sheboygan Living
Sheboygan, WI, June 25, 2020 - Van Horn Real Estate and Quasius Construction recently celebrated a major milestone in completing the foundation for Kingsbury Village Town Home Apartments. The 33-unit luxury apartment building, with fantastic views of the Sheboygan River, broke ground last October on the former Kingsbury Brewery Site at 10th Street and Wisconsin Avenue, Sheboygan.
“The project has been both challenging and rewarding from the beginning”, said Chris Merklein, Director of Van Horn Real Estate. “The former Kingsbury factory was literally demolished and buried where it stood and soil conditions had poor bearing capacity.” Developers prior to Van Horn were unsuccessful in designing a cost-effective foundation system; but the new team, including Quasius Construction and Distinctive Design Studio, were able to design a sequence of helical piers to provide necessary support. Now that the foundations are established, the framing of the buildings are mostly complete with many of the units finishing their electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work. Final color and material selections for the interior and exterior are complete and the underground storm water retention system has been installed. Chris Merklein adds, “With the structures going up, you can really see the courtyard take shape, and get a feel for what is going to be a beautiful campus.”
Kingsbury Village will include three residential buildings with a total of 33 townhouse luxury apartments. Each two-bedroom, two-and-half-bath unit features approximately 1,400 square feet of livable space and a 640 square foot 2+ car heated garage and flex space. Each unit provides private entrances and garages, with the only common areas being outside. The development also includes outdoor living spaces, with balconies, hardscape patios, and a central courtyard for outdoor gatherings, campfires and grilling. Residents will benefit from the property’s proximity to downtown Sheboygan, Lake Michigan, and the Sheboygan River.
